Useful Information

Tees and Speed of Play  

Please play from the yellow tees and maintain a good pace of play. If playing a Stableford, please pick up if you cannot score. Stanley Boyce is our starter and he will liaise with you before and during your round. 

Dress Code

Members, their guests and visitors are expected to comply with the
dress code of the Club, both in the clubhouse and on the course.

The Harry Colt Bar

Clean golf clothing and shoes are allowed in this “spike bar”.

Lounge and Dining Room after 11am

Jacket with a shirt and tie or roll-neck for men and smart dress for women must be worn, unless the doors between the Harry Colt bar and the lounge are open or the Captain or Secretary have given permission to wear clean golf dress or smart casual dress.

The Gallery Bar

Clean golf dress (but not golf shoes) or smart casual dress is allowed.

The Golf Course and Practice Grounds

Shirts should be collared or roll neck and sleeved and men must wear them tucked into trousers or shorts. Ladies may also wear collared sleeveless shirts.      

Trousers and shorts should be tailored and smart. Ladies may wear golf cropped trousers.

Men may only wear knee length socks or short white ankle socks (6 inches above the shoes) with shorts. Shorts without socks are not permitted and “shoe liners” are not allowed for men.

Caps should be worn with the peak facing forward and only golf shoes should be worn.

N.B. Jeans, tracksuit bottoms, bomber jackets, tennis shoes, trainers and men’s sandals are not allowed in the clubhouse or on the course.

Mobile Phones

We do not allow the use of mobile phones on the course, in the Clubhouse or on the terrace. Mobile phones may be used in the car park.

Security

Despite our best efforts, we are vulnerable to thieves. It is therefore important, particularly around the clubhouse, that golf bags and other personal belongings are not left unattended at any time.

Facilities

The clubhouse is open at 7.30am, from which time coffee is available in the lounge. Lunch is served from 12.30. Breakfast is available by advance request. The Head Chef is Mr William Virley and the Head Steward is Jon Whittaker available on 01883 712273.

Services from the Professional

Our PGA Professional, Chris Evans will have a full range of golf equipment available and will be pleased to meet all of your needs. Only wide-wheel trolleys are allowed and a number of these are available for hire. His number is 01883 713701.
